Headache is a sensation of discomfort felt in the head and caused majorly by uproar in the brain cells. Headaches happen to everyone regularly. Research has it that more than 40% of the World population suffer from headaches on a daily basis. And 23% of all headaches last longer than an hour which can cause severe discomfort to the victim.
Regular analgesics might not be able to cure all headaches. So the management of Aimtoget health foundation deemed it fit to investigate the domestic causes of headaches we can always fight.
Below are some of the reasons we have headaches;
WEARING OF WRONG SHOES
Some shoes are not properly balanced and don’t suite many individuals but we pay little or no attention to the discomfort suffered from this unbalanced shoes. This shoes cause misalignment in the spine, causing the tension in your neck and disturbing your brain cells.
CARRYING HEAVY BAGS
Particularly Ladies, Heavy bags are just a must see every day because people tend to cater for domestic needs and thereby make them mobile. Males are also guilty of this because they tend to carry laptops, books, journals and other needs in their bags thereby amassing the weight. Heavy bags tend to pull the shoulders [probably dislocate it temporarily] and misalign the spine also disturbing the brain cells.
WRONG PILLOW/HEAVY PILLOW
Using double pillow or wrong pillow for your age is a major cause of headache. Visit a foam dealer and have him make a pillow to your specification. Using the wrong pillow cause neck spasms which your brain cells can’t process effectively.
UNCONSCIOUS CLENCHING OF JAW
A bad habit amongst infants to teenagers, they clench jaws in anger while some even do it subconsciously in a deep sleep. This forces a neuron into the brain and causes an uproar, hence, the headache.
EFFECTIVE WAYS TO RELIEVE AN HEADACHE
Applying firm pressure on the mid-point range between the index finger and the thumb. Try and get that fleshy area go as close as you can to the bone and hold tight for at least 20 seconds. That’s pretty going to release a lot of pressure from your head.
Another trigger point is applying pressure with the two index fingers at the cone top of your nose and rub gently for minimum of 10 seconds. This will help release the pain and muscle spasms from your head.
